The Tone Vault Exchange gives original BTone owners the freedom to evolve their sound anytime. This fee includes the Vault Exchange Fee plus return shipping from BTone back to your location.
Shipping to BTone is not included and is paid by the customer when sending in their pickups.
What Is the Tone Vault Exchange?
The Tone Vault Exchange allows original BTone owners to swap their current BTone pickups for a different BTone model anytime their sound evolves.
This is a one-time exchange fee. Shipping costs are paid by the customer.

How It Works
1. Purchase this Exchange Fee
This starts your swap request.
2. Ship your pickups to BTone
Include your original BTone order number or dealer receipt.
Shipping to BTone is paid by the customer.
3. Verification & Inspection
We confirm authenticity, verify ownership, and ensure the pickups are fully functional.
4. Receive Your Replacement
We ship your chosen BTone model of the same pickup type (Strat-for-Strat, Tele-for-Tele, etc.) as a Certified Refreshed BTone set.
Return shipping back to your location is included in the fee.
Eligibility
To keep the Tone Vault fair and authentic, the following must apply:
- You are the original BTone purchaser
- You can provide your BTone order number or dealer receipt
- Pickups must be authentic BTone
- Pickups must be fully functional
- No severe damage, broken coils, or improperly modified wiring
- Exchange applies only to the same pickup type (Strat for Strat, Tele for Tele, Humbucker for Humbucker)
- Shipping to BTone is paid by the customer
- Vault fee is non-refundable

Are the pickups I receive new?
Not always. Some swaps may include a brand-new set, but most replacements are Certified Refreshed BTone sets — fully inspected, tested, and approved.
We never send damaged or unreliable pickups. Wire length may vary, but we ensure proper length and add professional extensions if needed.
Can I swap more than once?
Yes — original owners have lifetime access and can exchange as many times as they like.
I bought BTone used — can I join?
No — the Tone Vault is reserved for original purchasers.
However, exceptions are sometimes made. Reach out if you’re unsure.
Do I pay shipping?
Shipping to BTone is paid by the customer.
Shipping from BTone back to you is included in this exchange fee.
How long does a swap take?
Typically 3–7 business days after we receive and verify your pickups.
What happens if my pickups fail verification?
We return them to you. Fees and shipping are not refunded.
