WHY I BUILT BTONE

BTone wasn't created in a boardroom or backed by investors. It started after decades of playing clubs, festivals, recording studios, and chasing the kind of guitar tone I could hear in my head but couldn't always find.

After years of experimenting with pickups, magnets, winding patterns, and countless hours on stage, I realized the best pickups aren't the ones with the biggest numbers on a spec sheet—they're the ones that make you want to keep playing.

Today, every BTone pickup is still hand-built one at a time in Maple Ridge, BC, with the same goal that started it all: helping guitar players spend less time fighting their gear and more time enjoying their instrument.
