Balanced by Design
The Legacy set is calibrated by ear, not just by DC resistance. Because of coil geometry and winding style, the neck may read higher than the middle, and the middle higher than the bridge — but in practice, the bridge cuts hardest, the middle offers the most blendable “quack,” and the neck gives the warmest, roundest tone.
This is a purpose-voiced, calibrated set where every position sits exactly where it should in a mix.

The Story
Legacy means long game.
In 1994, James Buddy Rogers was shaping the tones that would eventually define BTone—experimenting with winds, coils, and configurations long before any official models existed. Among those early experiments was the voicing that would later evolve into the B94 Legacy, paired with a dummy coil for a quieter, more performance-ready Strat sound.
Decades of refining, gigging, and real-world playing turned that early idea into the Legacy set you hear today.
The name B94 honors the year the pursuit began.
