Hand-wound in Canada with Alnico V bar magnets, 42 AWG plain-enamel wire, vintage-style fiber flatwork, and lightly offset coils. Wax-potted for stability and consistency.
Nitro dipped and wax-potted for stability.

It All Started Here
The B94 Classic is the foundation — the first voicing James Buddy Rogers built for his own Strat back in 1994.
That tone became the blueprint for everything that followed, shaping the sound, feel, and identity of BTone from day one.
James has always been a single-coil player at heart. That’s where the BTone voice was defined — clarity, balance, response, and touch. But the world of guitars is bigger than any one format. Different instruments demand different geometries, and great tone shouldn’t stop at single coils.
So the original B94 philosophy was carried forward into humbuckers and other pickup designs — not by abandoning its roots, but by translating the same intent into new forms. Same balance. Same feel. Same standard.
